With years of experience helping the women and men in the Miami & Fort Lauderdale area look and feel their best, Dr. Joorabchi has the answers you’re looking for. He’s got the latest technology at his clinic in Pembroke Pines, and he can put it to work for you today!
Do you have lines and wrinkles you want to get rid of? How about puffy, baggy, or saggy eyelids?
Do you wish your lips or face looked fuller and more vibrant? Maybe you don’t like the shape of your nose? If your answer is “yes” to any question like those, Dr. Joorabchi can help. Your options all depend on what you want to change. Once you’ve focused on that, you then have a choice between surgical and non-surgical procedures in many cases, depending on the extent of the improvements you want to make. For surgical options, Dr. Joorabchi specializes in:
Rhinoplasty — alteration/reconstruction of the nose (a.k.a., a “nose job”)
Non-surgical procedures Dr. Joorabchi performs are:
Botox — botulinum toxin injection to relax and immobilize underlying facial muscles, reducing wrinkles and creases
Facial fillers — injection of medical-grade synthetic substances to fill in wrinkles or fill out “hollow” or thin areas of the face
When you have your consultation with Dr. Joorabchi, he’ll listen closely to any complaints about your appearance you share and then work with you to craft the ideal treatment plan for you and your needs.
Some of the procedures are just injections. They’ll usually take less than an hour start-to-finish, and you’ll be headed home right after. Others are more involved and will require more substantial recovery time. Each treatment is customized to each patient’s needs, but here is a general overview of each procedure:
Is a Botox treatment is relatively simple and straightforward. The first step is to gently numb the area to be treated, usually with a basic topical anesthetic. Then, Dr. Joorabchi will use a syringe and needle to inject the Botox into the muscles under the skin around the treated area. He’ll probably do the injections in a few locations to make sure the effects are uniform across the area. There’s usually very little pain after the treatment, and you can expect to start seeing results immediately. The reduction in fine lines and wrinkles will be obvious, and the effects will probably last three to four months.
Like Botox, these treatments are done with injections. There are a few choices between different substances you can use, depending on the extent of the procedure and how long you can expect the results to last. The procedure begins with the numbing of the area to be treated. Then Dr. Joorabchi will inject the filler in a few places around the area to ensure natural-looking results. You shouldn’t have much pain after the procedure, but there may be some swelling or redness for a few days. This is normal though as your body gets used to the filler’s presence. After that’s gone, the difference will probably be subtle but significant. Depending on the type of filler used, your results should last between six months and two years.
This procedure offers the prospect of significant changes to your appearance. Dr. Joorabchi will usually use a general anesthetic for this procedure, so you’ll need someone to drive you home after and help take care of you. Depending on how much you’re wanting your nose to change, Dr. Joorabchi will have to open up your nose and remove or replace some of the cartilage or bone that gives it structure. If you’ve got excess skin or other tissue, he might also remove some of it to give your nose the shape you want. After the surgery, your nose will be bandaged and protected from infection. You’ll probably need to take pain medication and antibiotics for the first week or so, but Dr. Joorabchi will give you the prescription along with instructions on how to properly care for your nose as it heals. Once it’s fully recovered, your appearance will look substantially different, and the results will be permanent.
If you’ve got any of the complaints we mentioned above, one of our cosmetic procedures may be a great choice for you
While every treatment plan is unique to each patient, good candidates have a few characteristics in common. First, they’re in pretty good health overall. They’re usually free of major health issues like diabetes, cancer, or heart disease. Also, if you’re sick or battling an infection, it’s probably not a good time to undergo an elective procedure. That’s especially true if you have a skin infection since the health of your skin is critical for your cosmetic treatment to go well.
Ideal candidates have good skin elasticity and they’re already in the habit of caring for their skin, moisturizing, and wearing sunscreen regularly. We know wrinkles can happen even with a good skincare routine, but if a patient is not taking good care of their skin already the results of anti-wrinkle treatments cannot be expected to last very long. Finally, the best candidates for cosmetic procedures understand the procedure well. They’ve got realistic expectations for their results and aren’t depending on their treatment to “cure” any emotional or psychological issues they may be facing. These treatments can for sure work wonders, but they don’t do miracles.
